We support young womens efforts to continue pregnancy while providing for their child’s future and her life. We believe it is ultimately the birth parent(s) who make the decision to seek the adoption alternative.
Meet Sharon and David

Dear Birthparents,

We have the desire to be the best parents we can be. As adoptive parents, this is a desire we will always share with the birthparents of our child. We make this commitment to you and to your child that you share with us.

Our names are Sharon and David. We have been married to our 'best' friend for over ten years. After many years of infertility, we accepted our inability to become biological parents and became parents to a wonderful 'Christmas Angel,' Mary Elizabeth, over a year ago through the blessings and love of 'adoption.' The joys of adoptive parenthood were quite familiar to us because several of our close friends and two of Sharon's cousins have been blessed with their own adoptive children, which has created happy family life through 'adoption'. Now with our own joy-Mary Elizabeth-we pray the Lord will bless our family once again with another child-and a sibling or two for Mary to grow-up with in our family.

Although we do not know your reasons for considering 'open' adoption, we are certain that you do so because you love your child and, above all else, you wish to provide your child the opportunity to explore all that life has to offer. As you read our letter, we ask that you keep in mind that providing a happy and loving life for our children are the most important goals for us, as a couple. So important to us, that we want to join the birthparents in their desire to make the best life possible for your little 'miracle' waiting to happen.

About Us:

We are happily married and have been blessed with lives filled with close-knit and loving family ties. We have ALWAYS looked forward to the day when our home is filled with our children's voices. Yes, it would be a dream come true to see our own 'circle of love' grow once again-with a 'Heaven-sent' addition-and a sister and/or brother for Mary Elizabeth! All three of us are looking forward to the happy day when another 'Heaven-sent' gift arrives!

Sharon is quite an active person at home and she loves her new job as 'Mommy'-a 'stay-at-home' Mommy! To anyone who meets her, Sharon is known as a kind and thoughtful person, who often is found lending a 'helping hand' to her many friends and neighbors-and frequently uses her expertise as a registered nurse when called upon. She, also, plays an active role in her Church volunteering assisting new parishioners. Sharon takes piano lessons and enjoys entertaining, cooking, gardening, remodeling projects, and reading. Her favorite past-time is spending time with her own family-Mary Elizabeth and husband, David. Sharon's supportive network of family and friends has encouraged her in this new adoption process.

David is a practicing physician who is fortunate to have a rather flexible work schedule. His parental role is extremely important to him because he feels children need to spend special and quality time with their 'Daddy.' His children will come first. Like his own father, David will ALWAYS be there for his children. In his spare time, David's hobbies include the world of computers both for his work applications and leisure fun like flying a flight stimulator! Like Sharon, he is always lending his 'helping hand' to his colleagues and friends, especially with various home and wood-making projects. He is quite the handyman in the neighborhood. Several of David's new hobbies are astronomy, mountain biking and gardening, which includes a 'child-safe' backyard where Mary enjoys her 'special' Daddy-time. They love to explore nature's wonders right in her own backyard and their nightly playtime after he returns home from work.

Mary is a happy and active 21-month old toddler. She loves her cats! Her favorite past-time is when she and her playmates share playtime together and when she and her cats share quiet and playtime together. Mary enjoys 'sharing,' especially times with her cousins and her next door friend, Katie. Both she and Katie are so looking forward to the 'special' day when she and her Mommy and Daddy have a new little brother and/or sister! Her cousins, too, are all looking forward to playing with their new cousin! Mommy, Daddy and I-Mary Elizabeth-want to send our LOVE to you. In my nightly prayers, Mommy, Daddy and I ask God to give me a brother and/or sister soon. We hope you want your baby to become a part of my family, which is full of LOVE. I hope to hear from you soon.

Together we enjoy music, reading, movies, and traveling, especially to our favorite coastal hideaways where we relax and enjoy being with each other. Walking is a daily activity we all enjoy because it helps to keep us physically fit and gives us time to talk and 'be together' as a family, which is very important to us. We believe an active family that shares special 'quality' time helps to keep the 'child-parent' bond strong. Adding a new 'addition(s)' to our new twin-stroller on our walks will make our 'dream come true' for all three of us!

Our Home:

We had children in mind when we found our 4-bedroom Ranch-style home noting that it would have plenty of room to raise an active family-and our cats, too! Our tree-lined neighborhood is very safe and quiet with many wonderful neighbors whose children frequently come by on their bikes to play with Mary and to see how our cats are doing. A wonderful park with a play-yard is nearby and the local elementary school, which is right down the street, has provided many hours of play for Mary and will be great place for her to play with her new brother and/or sister, too. Our home has a large backyard with a great old oak tree. It is a great place for Mary and her brother and/or sister to share a tree house one day.

In closing, we will provide a secure and loving environment to nurture our children as they grow unto their own. And we would love to keep you updated with letters and photos along the way. If we sound like the people your child should call "Mommy and Daddy," please feel free to place a call to our Adoption Coordinator, Amy Miller, at AAA Link Adoption at 1-888-272-2229, if you would like to find out more or would like to speak with us. We look forward to your call.

May God bless you today and always as you discover how 'adoption' becomes a journey of 'love.'

All Our Love from Our House to Yours,

Sharon, David and Mary Elizabeth
