Dear Birthmother,

Thank-you for choosing to give life to a child. You will certainly be blessed for your decision. Our family is praying for you and are willing to provide encouragement and comfort to you during this difficult time. We hope that the following information will provide a small glimpse into the life of our family.

Our names are Laura and Tom. We are Christian parents full of hope, love for each other, and a God given desire and calling to expand our family through adoption. We have twin daughters that are six years old and are eager to embrace a sibling. They too are praying for you and the child you are carrying.

Tom and I meet on a blind date in 1996. During the time we dated we were both praying whether or not were the “right” person for each other. We dated for 3 months before we were engaged. We married in June of 1997.

I enjoy scrapbooking, decorating, volunteering at the girls’ Elem. School, severing on the PTO board, teaching Sunday school, and helping with the children’s programs at our church. I feel blessed that I am able to be a stay-at-home mom. I am always available to help at the school and care for our children. I will continue to be a stay-at-home mom for all of the children we are blessed with.

Tom enjoys hiking, fishing, sports, Teaching Sunday School, and being involved in our church. He is a Middle School Science Teacher and a General Contractor. He has designed and built each home that we live in. Tom is a great provider for our family and spends a lot of time with us too!

During our marriage we have both grown spiritually and personally. We have dealt with miscarriage, infertility, and the death of family members. Through all of this we have become stronger Christians, better friends, and better communicators.

In the summer of 2000, after years of infertility treatments, we were blessed with twin girls. Katie and Sarah are such a blessing to us. They are loving and helpful. They share many of the same likes and dislikes, yet they are two total different people. They both are so excited that our family is growing through the gift of adoption. We currently live in an average size home in the country. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. We live on the end of a small street where we ride bikes and walk daily. We have a large fenced in back yard were we love to play and chase our dog Lucy.

Lucy is our 3-year-old yellow lab. She is so smart and good-natured. She is gentle with everyone and knows lots of tricks. She loves to spend time with us and is a joy to have in our family.

We have just begun construction on our new home. It will have 4 bedrooms and 2 ˝ baths to better accommodate our growing family. It is being built in the same area where we currently live. Our home will be on the end of a cul-de-sac with a large fenced in yard where everyone can play. This neighborhood is also full of children of all ages.

We are a family with strong Christian beliefs that have carried us through many days. We enjoy each other and desire love and happiness for our family. We are eagerly waiting for the fulfillment of the promise of adoption that God has given us. We know that all our children are, and will be, a perfect gift from God!
