We support young womens efforts to continue pregnancy while providing for their child’s future and her life. We believe it is ultimately the birth parent(s) who make the decision to seek the adoption alternative.
Meet Helen and Michael

Dear Friend,

Hello! We are Michael, Helen, Aidan, and Caroline. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter, and God bless you for considering adoption. It takes a very special woman who has so much love for her child to go through the physical and emotional journey of adoption. We admire your courage and selflessness, and, again, we thank you!

Michael and I have been happily married since October 1997, and would love to see our family grow! Due to medical reasons, adoption is the only way for our dreams of having children to come true. We were blessed through adoption with Aidan in December of 1999 and Caroline in June of 2002. We would love for them to have siblings with whom they can love, grow, play, and share their lives! Since Mike and I are both from large families, we know the joys of brothers and sisters. Our home and hearts are filled with the blessings of love, joy, and laughter brought by children, and we would love to share this with another child.

We live on a family-oriented street in Virginia in a suburb of Washington, D.C. Our street has a cul-de-sac at both ends, which is great because there are so many kids on our block, most of whom love to bike, slide in the snow, or skate down our driveway. Our street is nice because the neighbors are like family. We often spend time together. It’s also fun to live close enough to take the metro-rail into our nation’s capital to sight see with friends and family, as well as live a short drive from the Shenandoah Mountains for hiking.

As a family, we enjoy our free time riding our bikes together, going on walks, roller-blading, visiting with friends and family, swimming, reading, watching movies, and “cutting up the rug” to any type of music. Aidan and Caroline have become quite the dancers!J Most importantly, we laugh and enjoy each other’s company as a family. Our Christian faith is very important to us and is an integral part of our lives. We pray together as a family daily and teach our children about our Christian faith. We are also involved in our parish through going to church, participating in parent talks, and enjoying our parish activities with our children.

Mike has a Master’s degree in business and works as a sales and marketing vice president. I am an elementary school teacher, mostly having taught second and third grade. However, since the birth of Aidan, I am a proud stay-at-home mom! We all love to go to parks, play in their sandbox, ride bikes, and spend time with their cousins who live minutes from us; five of them are within two years of each other, and they all love to imitate each other, play, and laugh a lot. I am also blessed to be able to spend time volunteering at Aidan and Caroline’s elementary school. They also have fun with their activities: baseball and basketball for Aidan; dance and soccer for Caroline, and lots of swimming in the summer for all of us.

Mike is from a family of 9 children, 6 of whom live in our area. I am the youngest of 5 children, with a large, tight-knit extended family. We are close to our parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. We are ready and would love to have a larger family. We look forward to sharing our love with another baby!

We are honored that you are reading our letter, and we hope that you will consider us as adoptive parents. We know that you must be an amazing woman if you are considering adoption. We admire your courage and love for your child. You are indeed a hero, and we would be honored to meet you.

We hope to hear from you, and we thank you for your selfless act of love. We are praying for you each day and thank God for you!

Sincerely,

Helen and Michael
