We support young womens efforts to continue pregnancy while providing for their child’s future and her life. We believe it is ultimately the birth parent(s) who make the decision to seek the adoption alternative.

Meet Dan and Kristin

Dear Birthmother/Birth Parents,

It is with great honor that we write this letter to you. We hope it finds you full of God’s grace and peace. Each of the words on this page are written with much care and consideration. Whatever great task it is to write this letter, attempting to give you a glimpse into our hearts/lives, we acknowledge it is the greatest task to have come to the place where you are now and to have made the decision to choose life for your child, and to choose adoption. We want to commend you for those decisions, and know they must have been made with much thought and care. And so, we come alongside you in that decision, to offer ourselves as potential parents to raise and love that child.

It is a privilege to be able to introduce ourselves to you. We are the Whites– Dan, Kristin, Allison, (and Allison’s cat Morgan ?), and we are tremendously blessed to be a family! Here is our story - Dan and Kristin met in March of 2001 while working out of the same office, and quickly found we shared many common interests: we both graduated with English degrees, have a love of reading and writing, enjoy biking/hiking, picnics, travel, worshipping in church, and going to concerts/plays together. We both knew without reservation that we were meant to be together, and so made the lifetime commitment of marriage to one another in October of 2002.

As we entered marriage, we looked forward to all the wonderful things that would come along with it. We dreamed of building our lives together, finding our first home, having our first baby, becoming a family. Shortly into our marriage however, we found our biggest hope of becoming a mom and a dad was most likely never going to happen on our own, and we had to face the sadness of infertility and all that would mean. We gave ourselves time to grieve that dream, and in God’s perfect timing, He led our hearts toward adoption.

After several months of prayerful and active preparation for adoption, and with such love and support from family and friends, God put everything into place according to His perfect plan, and we were blessed to be chosen by a young birthmother and invited to be present at the birth of our first child, Allison Grace, in the summer of 2005. We were so excited to be able to give this child a warm home and a loving family. Our lives were so changed in such a beautiful way through the addition of Allison to our family and home. We still find ourselves constantly amazed at the extension of our love and how our joy increased when she joined our family.

Dan, although an award winning senior claims representative for a leading insurance company, is most proud of being husband and father. He is a wonderful provider to our growing family and loves coming home to his girls at the end of the day. Kristin was thrilled to transition from her own career into the role of a full time stay-at-home mom to raise, love and nurture our daughter. What a joy she has been to both of us since the first day, and what hope we have to be able to give her a little brother or sister, and to be able to give to them that same overflowing love and devotion.

We live in a new development, in a cozy 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath home located in the farmlands of rural Eastern Pennsylvania. The streets are marked with lampposts all along the sidewalks where we regularly take family walks together. It is a young neighborhood, filled with many newly growing families. We have made many great friends since our move here almost 5 years ago, and in fact our cul-de-sac and our yard have somehow become the “favorite” place to be, filled with neighborhood kids busy at play on our swing set or enjoying juice boxes and popsicles on our front porch! There is also a wonderful walking/biking trail around the development which winds its way around to a brand new community playground and picnic area. The elementary and middle schools are within just a few miles of our home.

When we are not at home, we enjoy days at the park, family shopping trips, play dates with neighborhood friends, church activities, local fairs/festivals and even an occasional road trip. We especially love to spend holidays and vacations with family and friends. Dan’s parents live in Jacksonville Florida where we visit as often as possible (We were most recently thrilled to have Pawpaw and Grandma join us on Allison’s first trip to Disney World!). We also spend a lot of time with Kristin’s parents (aka, Grandpop and Nana ?) and family, locally, for fun get-togethers, movies and to just hang out. However, our favorite place to be together is right here at home!

We believe, without a doubt, that we are the family God meant for us to be, and that He is and was in all the details. He brought us together and we know whatever plans He has for us, are plans for good - for all our good! As children of God, we firmly believe that with God all things are possible, and that all things are made beautiful in His perfect time. And so it is with great hope that we wait on Him, together in prayer with you, and for you. Thank you for considering us.

God Bless,

Dan, Kristin & Allison
