Meet Charlie & Brittany

First, we want to thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us and for possibly considering us to be the parents of the precious child you are carrying. We admire your strength and courage in making the decision for adoption and for wanting the best life possible for your child. It is truly a testimony of your selfless character. We cannot begin to imagine the difficult decision you are facing, but we pray you find peace throughout your journey.

It is a privilege for us to share our story with you. We are Charlie & Brittany Baucom. Charlie graduated from North Carolina State University in 1995 and started his own Nursery growing and selling wholesales plants. He also took over his family’s business of farming crops. We met in the fall of 2003 when Charlie interviewed Brittany for a job at the Nursery. After several months of working together we became great friends. In 2004, Brittany decided to attend school full time for neuromuscular massage therapy. On May 6, 2005, Brittany asked Charlie to accompany her to graduation as her date. We dated 2 ˝ years before getting married on October 6, 2007, at our own home, in the presence of family and close friends.

We live in a two story cedar siding home in North Carolina surrounded by an 80 acre farm and Plant Nursery. We have four male cats, Garfield, Marty, Max, & Morris. They love living on the farm with the outdoors as their playground. We enjoy attending church together every Sunday and participating in various church functions, traveling, taking our boat to the lake, hanging out at our pool, and getting together with our families for some great food and company. Charlie is from a family of five siblings. His parents have been married for 37 years and currently have 10 grandchildren. Brittany has six brothers and sisters. Her parents have been married 35 years and have been blessed with nine grandchildren. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment! We are all very close to our parents and siblings and live no more than 15 minutes away from any one of them.

Since we both come from such large families we have always dreamed of having children. After several years of trying to conceive, (naturally and then with fertility treatments) we realized that God was calling for us to adopt. We have so much love to give and are so excited to start our family. We want to raise a child with the same values and loving environment that we were blessed with. We want to assure you that we can provide a stable home with unconditional love not only from us but from Grandparents, Great-Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and a supportive church family. Please know if chosen, we would love to have an open relationship if you so desire. Either way, we will be sure our child understands about their birthmother and the loving choice that was made to bring them into our lives.
