Meet Alan and Leigh Ann
Dear Birthmom, Although we all go through trials and difficult times in our life, we are so glad to know that through this difficult time for you, that your heart has been moved toward creating a blessing for your child and your life as well. We cannot begin to imagine all the emotions you are experiencing at this time, but please know that we would be honored to be chosen to parent your child, providing unconditional love, a wonderful home, a great education and a full life. Our hope and prayer is to provide your child with anything needed in pursuit of their heart's desire. We pledge to parent in such a way that you would be pleased knowing your child has grown to be compassionate, caring, and, trustworthy. We have been happily married for over nine years and have a great love of children. As we journeyed through our fertility difficulties, God continued to work in our hearts and led us to the path of adoption to complete our family story. Our lives were profoundly changed as we welcomed, with honor, our first birthmother. We will always respect and admire her for her selfless act of love.
Here's a little bit about us: Alan's career is in the information technology field. He is a great help to friends and family when they have computer needs. He enjoys soccer, swimming, chess, drawing and painting, and loves playing keyboards, especially at church. Leigh Ann enjoyed many activities growing up like sewing and ballet and played several sports including volleyball, softball and tennis. She totally loves being a stay-at-home mom with Emma Grace and cooking family meals, baking and entertaining guests of all ages!. Emma Grace has a fun personality with lots of voice inflections and facial gestures. She loves to smile and laugh, and say, "I love you more" when we tell her we love her. She is funny and active and really enjoys being around people, especially children and babies, and has many playmates and activities. She loves to dance, ride her 3-wheeler, swim and play on the backyard play set. She enjoys playing with her many stuffed animals, doll house and indoor tent. And, she loves to help mommy grocery shop and take care of Rosy the dog. And, we all love keeping up with family memories through scrap booking.
Our families are very close-knit and important to us. Both sets of grandparent plus aunts, uncles and cousins are excited about our plans for adopting another little one and look forward to God's blessing in growing our family. As a personal encouragement to you, we thought we would share a recent event in our home. In the evening we read books to Emma Grace and then pray before she goes to bed. We always pray for her health and safety, that God would watch over her and keep her in His care, protecting her heart and mind as she sleeps. We end our prayer asking God that when she wakes in the morning she will "rejoice in the day that God has made." This phrase has become so familiar that Emma Grace says it with us now. Often, when Emma Grace observes the sun going down, knowing that night time has arrived, she says, "I want my day to come back." What a wonderful affirmation that she has rejoiced in the day that God has made. She had such a wonderful day that she wants the day to come back! We hope and pray for you, our birthparent, that you will rejoice in the day your baby is born and you will have many days of rejoicing over the wonderful, sacrificial gift of love that you are making when you place your child in someone else's care. You will always have a very special place in all our lives. Please know that our greatest desire is to do all we can to help your child recognize their God given talents and pursue wholeheartedly any passion in life they hope to fulfill. We would like for you get to know us better, see how committed we are to completing our family, and ask us any questions you may have. We would love to hear about you, how you feel about adoption, and what you want for your child. God Bless,, Alan, Leigh Ann, Emma Grace
